Hi, I’m Shannon!
I am an Orange County and Los Angeles photographer for the mama who wants an artful and relaxed record of her family. I have always had a passion for celebrating the everyday and I do that through in-home documentary style family photo sessions. I love helping mamas preserve the moments that mean the most to them.
My photography has taken me a lot of places over the past two decades. As a fine artist I have an MFA in photography, show my work in galleries, and have been featured in publications internationally (more on that over on my fine art site). As an educator, I have led others in developing their own creative practice and currently teach photography at Cal State Fullerton.
Most recently though, it’s been in becoming a mother myself that I truly understand how meaningful photos of your family can be. I find myself craving a record of all that is happening in my home every day with my daughter Violet. In my postpartum days I realized that all I wanted to do was give other moms the gift of creating art from a season like the one I am in right now.
