Hi, I’m Shannon!
I am an Orange County and Los Angeles photographer for the mama who wants an artful and relaxed record of her family. I have always had a passion for celebrating the everyday and I do that through in-home documentary style family photo sessions. I love helping mamas preserve the moments that mean the most to them.
My photography has taken me a lot of places over the past two decades. As a fine artist I have an MFA, show my work in galleries, and have been featured in publications internationally. In my business I have photographed portraits, weddings, bar mitzvahs, maternity, newborns, and of course, families. I’ve done it all. As an educator, I have led others in developing their own creative practice through private photography classes, high school classrooms, and at the college level running the photography department. Most recently though, it’s been in becoming a mother myself that I truly understand how meaningful photos of your family can be. I find myself craving a record of all that is happening in my home every day with my daughter Violet. I can finally relate to the phrase “it goes so fast” because, my goodness, all of a sudden she’s eating breakfast at the table with me and saying mama like a real person. In my postpartum days I realized that all I wanted to do was give other moms the gift of creating art from a season like the one I am in right now.
